Take a freshly installed Monopam from an empty tenant to a first recorded, audited session. Plan about 30 minutes. Each step names the User Guide page with the details.
Before you begin
-
The PoC installation is complete and Monopam opens at its address. If every page answers 404, the address is not registered for the tenant: add it with
MONOPAM_TENANT_HOSTS(orMONOPAM_PUBLIC_URL) and restart. -
You can sign in with the administrator account created during installation.
-
A Linux or Windows test server the gateway can reach, and an account on it.
Steps
-
Gateway. Open Gateways and check that the PoC gateway is listed and online. If not, install it; see Install a PoC gateway. (User Guide: Manage gateways)
-
Resource. Resources → Add New: name, type, server address. (User Guide: Add a resource)
-
Credential. Assign Credential on the resource, create the vault item with the server account, and choose the connection type (SSH or RDP). (User Guide: Vault items)
-
Policy. Policies → Add New → Resource Access Policy: add the resource and the account, and on Rules add the PoC users or their group. Turn on recording. (User Guide: Resource Access Policy)
-
Connect. Sign in as a PoC user, open Resources, click Connect, give a reason. The session opens in the browser without a password prompt. (User Guide: Connect from the browser)
-
Evidence. As the administrator, open Recordings to play the session and Audits to see the events. (User Guide: Recordings and session notes, Audit log)
Follow the Monopam User Guide's Quick start for the same flow with screenshots.
